That when using monofilament fishing line, knot strength is attributed to line diameter or thickness. The thicker the line, the stronger the knot strength. If a knot slips this creates friction which inturn burns and breaks the line. By using Super Glue on your fishing knots (whilst having no effect on the fishing line) it permanently bonds your knot and eliminates "slip" therefor retaining a stronger knot strength.

Only people fishing with a line can catch a blue groper in NSW and they can only keep two. There are some places, like Clovelly in Sydney, where you can't catch them at all.

Fish caught on bait hooks were more likely to die than those caught by lures. One reason for this was that hooks often hooked deeper into the flesh, caused more blood loss and were harder to remove, increasing handling time and stress. An interesting result was that if the line was simply cut when fish were deeply hooked in the mouth, fish regurgitated the hook after 24 hours, with no apparent harm. Male Grey Nurse Sharks bite females during the courtship process. In the breeding season it is common to see small scars on the females. The sharks are able to swallow air at the surface of the water in order to give them buoyancy control. They have large, sharp teeth, but they are not very strong and break easily. The Grey Nurse Shark was the first protected shark in the world when it was protected under New South Wales legislation in 1984.
