Privacy statement

In accordance with the Guidelines for Federal and ACT Government World Wide Web sites issued by the Australian Privacy Commissioner, Got One provides the following privacy statements.

Site visit data

Got One makes a record of your visit and logs the following information for statistical purposes - the user's server address, the user's top level domain name (e.g. .com, .gov, .au, .uk etc.), the date and time of the visit to the site, the pages accessed and documents downloaded, and the type of browser used.

No attempt will be made to identify users or their browsing activities except, in the unlikely event of an investigation, where a law enforcement agency may exercise a warrant to inspect the Internet service provider's logs.

E-mail management

Got One will only record your e-mail address if you send us a message. It will only be used for the purpose for which you have provided it and will not be added to a mailing list. We will not use your e-mail address for any other purpose, and will not disclose it without your consent.

Please note that when you contact Got One via e-mail the content of your e-mail as it is transferred across the Internet may not be secure. If you have a concern about the security of your message you are advised to contact the Got One directly by telephone, facsimile or post.

E-mail notification service

Subscribers to the e-mail notification service are required to provide some personal details. This information is used only for the purpose of monitoring the use of the service and for future planning.
The information will not be used for any other purpose. These personal details will not be passed on to other individuals or organisations except, in the unlikely event of an investigation, where a law enforcement agency may exercise a warrant to inspect the e-mail notification records.
