Got One Darwin/Trailer Boat Club 2006 Kids Classic

IThe annual Got One Darwin/Trailer Boat Club 'Kids Classic' held on Saturday 17/06/06 was a great success, the event attracting kids as young as three years of age. Both boys and girls participated in baitcasting, knot-tying and castnetting with tuition provided by Got One Darwin staff. The lucky door prize, a helicopter joyflight proudly donated by Albatross Helicopters was won by Ashley Styles. Fishing on the day, limited to within Darwin Harbour, returned several nice Estuary Cod, Spanish Flag, Golden Snapper, Blue Salmon and even the odd sand crab! Champion Angler went to seven year old Mitchell Copley with the biggest Estuary Cod for the day.

Several runner up prizes were awarded, and no entrant walked away empty handed. One keen young angler, Craig Creer won a brand new Shimano Baitcast combo for his multiple catch of snapper, cod and bream from Nightcliff foreshores! A great day was had by all, and we already look forward to the 2007 Got One/Trailer Boat Club 'Kids Classic'!
