Carol Shepherd Carol is co-owner of the store and has been a long suffering fishing widow. She will sympathize with all the non-fishing wives and when told of where Dave is going fishing often says - wear the “fox hat”. Carol brings years of retail experience and a solid knowledge of the local area. She is also in charge of updating the magazines in “Carol’s Corner” for those partners not interested in browsing the range of fishing accessories.

. Locally, Chris will chase anything from bream in the bay through LBG to freshwater fishing. He has been working in the local fishing industry for the past 8 years and there is not too much he doesn’t know about the local area and all fishing equipment. Drop in and test his knowledge….

Paul has lived in Port Stephens all his life and has been fishing since he was a mere 3 years old. Having a tuna/lobster fisherman as a father has seen Paul on the water from a very young age. He wets a line around the Port most days and is a well known local Angler. Paul is o

resident rod repairer and he build top quality custom rods. He literally lives, eats and breathes fishing - from fly fishing to chasing marlin. Paul was champion junior angler in the local trailer boat tournament, the 2002 runner up senior champion angler in trailer boat tournament and has won

fishing club estuary champion the last four years running. Paul has been working in tackle shops in Port Stephens since 1997 and we gladly welcome him to the Got One team. If Paul can’t put you on to some fish in the Port no one can.

James is a 15 year old student of
Tomaree
High school
. James has lived in the Bay all his life and has heaps of local knowledge taught to him by his Dad. James regularly fishes the local competitions and won the Salamander Shores fishing tournament in 1996 (when he was 5), and won the junior angler in the Annual Interclub and shootout tournament in 2006 for the most tag and release Marlin. James is usually in the shop Wed afternoon after school and Saturday mornings.
